One workshop, six regions, one team you can trust

We design, fabricate and install metalwork that lasts either onsite or from our Kapiti workshop, then take it on the road across the greater Wellington region. From a single stainless handrail in Karori to a full commercial kitchen in Greytown, every job is delivered to spec by qualified fabricators and welders, signed off in house and built to stand up to the southerly and the salt.

Common metalwork questions from across the region

What finishes do you offer to protect against Wellington's coastal environment?

Living in 'Windy Wellington' means salt spray is a real factor. We offer several finishing options to prevent corrosion, including Hot Dip Galvanising, Powder Coating in a wide range of colours, and marine grade stainless steel. We can recommend the best finish based on how close your project will be to the coast.

Do you take on small 'one-off' repair jobs, or only large projects?

We handle both. Whether it's a quick weld on a broken garden gate or a full set of custom handrails, no job is too small. If it's a quick fix, we can often fit it into our workshop schedule between larger projects to get it back to you as soon as possible.

What are your payment terms for custom fabrication work?

For most custom projects, we require a 50% deposit to secure your spot in our production schedule and cover material costs. The remaining balance is due upon completion or installation.

Does your work meet New Zealand building standards and Council requirements?

Absolutely. For items like balustrades, handrails, or entrance canopies we fabricate to NZS 3404 or the relevant building codes. If your project requires a Producer Statement (PS3) for council sign-off, just let us know at the start of the project and we will ensure all documentation is provided.

Do I need professional drawings to get a quote?

Not at all. While we can work from formal CAD drawings, we are just as happy working with a clear description, photos of the space, or a hand-drawn sketch with basic dimensions. We will discuss the technical details with you to make sure the final result meets your needs.
