Bespoke architectural metalwork including feature stairs, cladding, screens and structural detail for Wellington architects and builders.
When the brief calls for metalwork that has to look as good as it performs, we are the team to call. We fabricate architectural metalwork for Wellington architects, designers, builders and home owners working to drawings, finishes and tolerances that match the rest of the build.
Our architectural work covers feature stairs, balustrades to architect detail, structural posts, cladding panels, flashings, screen walls, planters, fireplace surrounds, signage frames and bespoke entry details.
We work in stainless, mild steel, aluminium, brass and copper depending on the brief.
Every architectural job starts with a workshop drawing review against the architect's package. Tolerances, weld treatment, finish standards and install method are all captured in writing before we cut metal.
On site, our installers work to architectural finish levels and protect surrounding finishes through to handover.
We are practised at coordination with carpenters, glaziers, electricians and the wider trades.
Where our metalwork interfaces with another trade, the joint is detailed before either of us starts on site so the result is clean.
Stainless steel grades 304 and 316, mild steel, aluminium, brass, copper, weathering steel
The Fabricator. We work to architect drawings and finish standards from our Kāpiti Coast workshop, delivering feature stairs, cladding, screens and bespoke detail across Wellington City, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, the Kāpiti Coast and the Wairarapa.
Yes. We are happy to take instructions through the architect or designer, attend site meetings and work to revisions through the construction phase.
We can. Mirror polish, brushed satin, bead blast, painted, powder coated and PVD coloured finishes are all part of the toolkit. We will recommend the finish that holds up in the install location.
The earlier the better. Bringing us in at design stage means buildability issues are caught before the consent application, not on site.
Metalwork can't always wait. Call the workshop direct for honest advice and a fair quote.
